About Us
Friendly
Director Andrew Jones has been in the business since 1986, training originally at Merrist Wood College in Guildford. He has built a strong reputation for service with an individual touch and sees every job personally.
Though we work all over the South of England, Andrew was born in Basingstoke, and is committed to the local community. In the last five years he has trained developing groundsmen and tree surgeons from various backgrounds and offered work experience placements to students from Basingstoke schools.
Professional
Members of the Arboricultural Association, all work is completed to British Standard 3998 and informed by the European Tree Pruning Guide.
Safety is at the heart of all we do. Our specialist team members are fully qualified, having attended Sparsholt or Merrist Wood Colleges locally or been trained by us in partnership with a local New Forest training provider. There is always a trained First Aider on every site.
We carry £10m of Public and Employer’s Liability Insurance. Our vehicles and equipment are checked regularly according to health and safety regulations PUWER (Provision and Use of Equipment Regulations 1992) and LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment regulations 1998).
Copies of our full Health and Safety Policy and insurance provision are available on request (by email only).
We’re proud of our environmental record, and we estimate that we recycle 90% of the products of our work. We put wood to work, not to waste, by:
- Supplying chippings to local allotment holders, riding stables and outdoor play schemes. The remainder contribute to the production of carbon-neutral electric energy
- Selling seasoned logwood all year round
- Supplying local wood turners and sawmills

From first visit through to day of work, we keep you informed and in touch.
